Kinja'd!!!

I got ice cream for my wife because she doesn’t feel well. She told our kid during dinner “if you want ice cream, you have to eat your noddles.” Mommy turned her back and our kid tried to throw her food in the garbage. It’s upsetting but I’m a little proud of her problem solving abilities. Anyone else have a good story?

This is the first time it happened, but I HAD to keep a straight face while telling her that this was a bad thing to do, lol.

Our one year old just recently learned that if she shakes her head “no” fast enough, we can’t cram any food into her mouth. She also likes to pull her socks off at every meal.

Their ability to problem solve is impressive.

Hahaha, kids, am I right? My kid just refuses to eat dinner. but since we have dessert now, I’m gonna be really strict about when she gets it. No dinner = no desert.

My 18 month old has realized most of her pants have pockets, so now when she no longer wants her food items into her pockets it goes. Washing and drying a pocket full of banana doesn't make a happy wife.

Haha, my girl loves to dress in a frilly dress and two skirts. Thankfully, they do not have pockets, :).

My two year old was singing a song about his penis in the bathtub tonight. That's my boy.

I'm happily kidless at the moment but love stories about little kids. Share more if you have them!

Once she gets hungry enough, she’ll eat. Humans tend not to let themselves starve. Even tiny humans.

My 3 year old wouldn’t go to bed one night and I asked him why. He said “IT’S TOO MUCH WORK!"

When you’re a parent, you have quite a few, lol. The other day my kid travelled the entire length of the house to tell me “I want cracker”. Well I had just given her a cracker, and I wasn’t sure how many Mrsztp had already given her, so I told her “go ask your mom”. She left me, whining a little bit, then got really loud. Apparently she knew what mom was gonna say.

She also likes to tell us “I want to go home”, despite already being in the house.

And earlier today, when I called home during lunch, she kept asking me if I was eating apple sauce. I kept telling her I wasn’t, but that didn’t sway her.

She’ll be 3 in March. :)

Yeah, but it’s funny because she thinks she can survive purely on shredded cheese and graham crackers. Oh, and apple sauce. We’re trying to say/teach “it’s ok to eat other foods”. Lol

It’s true. And another testament to their problem solving skill.

Haha, we lay her in bed and she just talks sometimes. We have one of those radios in our bedroom, and we just hear her jabbering, it’s really funny.

She should be in or near the imaginary friend stage. Nothing freaked me out more than that stage. Especially when my kids would talk to their imaginary friends in the dark when they were supposed to be going to sleep.

When my daughter was around 5, she loved to sit in my lap as I rolled the wheelchair downhill at high speed in public. She would yell “bonsai!” At the top of her lungs and see how many people she could send running for cover.

It can’t be too much different than her talking to her dolls, stuffed animals, etc. A couple nights ago, she spent 10-20 minutes talking to our cat, who doesn’t even like her very much.

Her imaginary friend will probably be a cat honestly.

My son told me yesterday that he likes having his clothes in a spread out pile in the middle of his room because it makes it easier to find the ones he wants then going through drawers and putting everything back in them nicely. Dubious logic, but I’ve seen dumpbins where adults seem to adhere very strongly to this line of thinking. [My son is 8]

It’s different. When you ask her to point to her imaginary friend and she points to the top corner of the room , yah, you’ll freak out. Then there was the night we walked into her room to check on her before going to bed and one of her toys started playing music by itself. She was asleep in her crib. The toy was on a shelf. I grabbed the toy, but couldn’t get it to shut off until I removed the batteries.

I was so glad to move out of that house.

That would be freaky, and I’m a easily startled person too. We’ve had toys turn on for seemingly no reason too.

It’s at times like that when I’m forced to be “the man” of the family and investigate because my wife is a bit freaked out. Doesn’t matter if I’m freaked out too, but I have to play it cool-headed to not freak her out more. That’s when I investigate with a soft ball bat....
